Colm Broderick & Niamh Dalton House Concert
Join us for an evening with renowned piper and concertina duo Colm Broderick and Niamh Dalton. The two will be coming through Seattle in April with just enough time for a house concert.
Colm Broderick immersed in traditional Irish music from a young age, learning from local musicians in his native Carlow, with him going onto claim multiple All-Ireland titles in uilleann piping, and becoming one of the most skilled pipers of his generation. As well as being a respected teacher, he has performed worldwide, as he continues to build a legacy grounded in authenticity, skill, and a powerful sense of cultural continuity. Colm stands today not only as one of Ireland’s leading pipers, but also as a vital link between past masters and future players.
Niamh Dalton is an accomplished concertina player from Gneeveguilla, County Kerry, in the heartland of the Sliabh Luachra musical tradition. Immersed in this distinctive style from an early age, she carries forward a rich family legacy, tracing her musical heritage to her great-grandfather Thadelo Sullivan and her great-grandaunts Nell and Liz Sullivan, renowned musicians in the United States. Inspired by legendary Sliabh Luachra figures Denis Murphy and Julia Clifford, Niamh’s playing reflects the unique ornamentation, rhythm and repertoire of the region. Alongside her performing career, she is a dedicated teacher, having taught for many years at the Killarney School of Music and serving as a tutor at the concertina festival Consairtín and Scoil Samhradh Willie Clancy in Miltown Malbay. Passionate about preserving and promoting the Sliabh Luachra tradition, Niamh is committed to sharing its distinctive sound with audiences at home and internationally.

Joey Abarta Workshop & Concert
Joey Abarta has spent more than half his life traveling, teaching, and performing music on the uilleann pipes. Originally from California, he first received instruction on the pipes from Dubliner Pat D’Arcy, a founding member of the Southern California Uilleann Pipers Club.
Joey will be visiting Seattle for a workshop and house concert in January. You can purchase tickets for either/or, or both here.
Further details will be sent to ticket holders closer to the day of.

Murphy's Pub Session (Copy)
The session at Murphy’s (in Wallingford) is a slightly smaller gathering than Thursday’s at Shawn O’donnells. A great session for beginners who may feel overwhelmed in larger groups.
