Pipers Review Archive
In case you missed it (ICYMI as the youthz say), Last month I was able to get a few more articles digitized for the Pipers Review archive. All three are about reed making. Have a look!
Some Notes on Reedmaking parts 1 & 2 - Originally published in two parts in ‘95 and ‘96
Elementary Mechanics of Reeds - Originally published in ‘95
Making Flat Chanter & Regulator Reeds - Originally published in ‘94
After a very busy February I am hoping to digitize a few more over the next couple months, so keep an eye out!
Workshops & Concerts
West Coast Tionol - San Francisco
The San Fransisco Pipers Club put on an excellent tionol this year. The guest pipers were Ivan Goff, Colm Broderick, and Niabh Dalton. Many tunes were learned and played. Naibh and Colm put on a great talk about understanding the Sliabh Luachra style of playing and gave some tips on how to play it on pipes. The concert was fantastic, and I was able to identify most of the tunes played!
