Interview with Seán McKeon
Seán McKeon released his newest solo album, Salamanca, this August and has since been busy traveling, performing opening-night concerts, and making radio appearances to promote it. In the midst of it all, he made time for the Irish Pipers Club to share the story behind the record.
I sat down with Seán McKeon to talk about the journey behind his newest solo album, Salamanca. He shared how his love of old Claddagh Records, along with the encouragement of friends and family, inspired him to push through the challenges of today’s music and social media landscape to create a project rooted in passion and artistry. Seán also reflected on his process for choosing tunes, what makes a truly great solo piping piece, and leaving his own mark on a long and proud tradition.
You can see the full interview in our Members section, and you can grab a copy of the album on bandcamp!
