Meeting Recap

Great meeting this month with new old friends. It was suggested that we all work on a new set for our June meeting. We decided on the following:

  • Allistrum’s March

  • March of the Kings of Laois

  • O’Sullivan’s March

There are, of course, numerous versions of these tunes online for reference, however for Allistrum’s March, Tiarnan O Duinnchinn and Joey Abarta were mentioned. Joey’s recording is followed by March of the King’s of Laois, as well. And of course for O’Sullivan’s there is the famous Chieftain’s recording

Looking forward to playing this set with everyone at the next meeting. And as always you can check out our Common Tunes page to see what other tunes we’re playing.

IPC Annual Membership

Some folks have recently asked about annual dues. The club no longer utilizes dues for formal club membership. There are a number of legal implications involved around dues and the current state of our club is not equipped to manage such things. The best way to support the club now is with our Members Only section. This subscription is $20 a year, which was the same cost as dues. Subscribing to the club is the best way to help support us and help bring in new pipers and musicians for workshops and concerts, as well as raise funds for our next tionol. And for your support you will get access to exclusive recordings of these musicians as well as discounts on workshops and concerts! You can sign up here:
